Brief: O2 / weíre better connected
The initial concepts behind bringing to life the idea that weíre better connected. The brief outlined the background and what should be considered. The concept of connecting people to the things they enjoy should be explored in the work. The background
to the brief also outlined O2's attempt to connect people in a more simpler way was highlighted.
Having researched O2's previous design within advertisements the company focussed on 'keeping things fresh, positive, and simple.' O2 have always advertised the company with fresh scenic photographic imagery and graphical designs.
O2 ëBrand Guidelines'
If our brand was a colour, itíd be blue. But the blue of a beautiful sky on a summerís day. If you want a visual metaphor for O2, you could use oxygen bubbles,
but thereíd be others. When it comes to words, keep it natural. Fresh, positive, simple. And if youíre looking for a phrase that holds it all together or sums it up neatly, use ëweíre better, connectedí.

In response to the brief I developed three concepts.
Dot 2 dot - connect
Dot 2 dot was a connect that originated from the idea; to connect, with the idea of using a dot to dot system, I began to design line drawings of hands and cities. The design remained clean and simple to highlight the initial idea of dot to dot connecting.
Devices
Devices evolved from the original concept of the dot to dot idea by using line drawings. The idea of building a mass of different device and creating a bigger picture from them. The final design took form of a bird.
People chain
People chain is a series of photographs developed with the idea of connecting people using a paper chain of figures. The paper chain of figure were shot against a clear blue sky. I wanted to emphasise the concept of clarity but still remain clear and simple. The photographs tie in with companies corporate colours. The type incorporated into the designs are too modern fresh and positive.
